About the Guest House

Uttam Raj Giree set up Innate Pension in Dhulikhel in 2007 in order to support his family school in the village of Saping. The guesthouse has 2 private double guest rooms, and a community room for 3 people on ground floor with common bathroom. On first floor there is currently a flat with 2 bedrooms with attached bathroom each and a dining room and a kitchen. A dining hall with a kitchen was set up in the garden of the guesthouse 2013. The guesthouse can also be rented for retreats or events.

The main idea of that guesthouse is to generate a local source of income to sustain the school in the hills through tourism. There is hardly any other source of income available in the area.

A small organic farm is currently in the set up, so that the local kitchen can grow parts of their vegetables and herbs on their own.

Promotion of Nepalese culture is a strong asset of Uttam’s hospitality service. He is broadly educated about his own culture and wants to attend classes for completion of his guide license as soon as possible, to give his guests the best professional attention while introducing them to Nepali simple life.

Village hikes to Saping and the school are also offered to guests, who can stay overnight on the grounds of the school. This is a great opportunity for awareness raising through introducing foreigners to real-life Nepal. We can also organise hikes around the local Dhulikhel area.
